Amanda Lara, Assistant Softball Coach
Thief River Falls has always been home to me. Upon graduating from Lincoln High School, I was able to attend Northland at the TRF Campus as a PSEO Student. I went on to attend Mayville State University on an Academic and Athletic Scholarship to play Softball. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Sports Management and Coaching. After College, I lived in a couple of different areas of Minnesota including Duluth and Eagan. It was hard to leave the bigger towns, but I’m happy to be back home. I live in Viking, MN with my Boyfriend (Darrin), and our three kids (Keziah, Amahra, and Jayce). I wouldn’t be able to coach the game I love without the help of Darrin and our parents.
I currently work full time at Sanford Behavioral Health in TRF. Life has a way of always keeping us busy, but when I do have free time, I’m outside. Aside from spending time with my family I also enjoy sports, camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and hiking. If it’s competitive, I’m game. Sports have always been a huge part of my life and I couldn’t be happier to finally be back on the field transitioning from a Prowler to a Pioneer.
